電通とオプトが資本業務提携を解消した。電通デジタル・ホールディングスが保有するオプトホールディングの株式は、ファンドに売却されたが、オプトホールディングがその大半を取得して消却した。両社は2005年に資本業務提携を開始。電通デジタル・ホールディングスがオプトホールディング（当時はオプト）の株式の20％弱を保有し、インターネット広告の販売で協力してきた。
